Underwriting Studio Not configured

Underwriting Studio

Drop in an application and bank statements. Get back a full underwriting report.
One-time setup, then it's just drag and drop.

Setup

Configure once. Edit later from the Settings button. Stored locally in your browser — nothing leaves your machine until you process a deal.

Quick start — pick a risk preset

Don't have your guidelines written down? Start from a risk profile and tune from there. Picking a preset pre-fills every field below — you can review and edit before saving.

Or upload your guidelines doc

Have your underwriting guidelines as a PDF or screenshot? Upload it and Underwriting Studio will extract the rules and pre-fill every field below. You can review and edit afterwards. Requires the API key (Section 1) to be filled in first.

1. Claude API key

Get one at console.anthropic.com → API Keys. The key is saved to this browser only.

Each report costs roughly $0.20–$1.50 in tokens depending on how many bank statement pages you submit.

2. Brand

Used in the header of every report you generate. Either auto-fill from your website below, or set manually.

Enter your website and we'll fetch the logo automatically. You can still override the name, logo, or color below.

Used for headers, accents, and the report's brand bar.

3. Auto-decline rules

Every reason you'd reject a deal outright. Each rule below fires a hard DECLINE (states/industries/TIB trigger at the application stage — no statement read, no token spent; counterparty/custom rules fire after the statement read). Anything you DON'T list here will be detected and surfaced as a Red Flag for underwriter judgment, but won't auto-decline.

Comma-separated two-letter codes. Merchant in any of these → auto-decline at app stage.
Comma-separated. Auto-decline at app stage.
App-stated TIB below this threshold → auto-decline at app stage. Section 4 below has a separate "preferred" TIB that flags but doesn't decline.
Comma-separated. Any active debit from these on the statements → DECLINE regardless of other findings.
Write any other rules in plain English. The analyzer applies them as DECLINE triggers. Anything not listed here is detected but treated as a Red Flag, not a decline.

4. Hard requirements

Floors a file must clear to be considered for an offer (sub-threshold deals can still be CONDITIONAL with a downsized offer).

Between the auto-decline TIB above and this number → underwriter flag. Above this → meets standard.

5. Pricing & sizing

Defines the offer range and term ladder for APPROVE / CONDITIONAL recommendations.

Advanced rules (optional)
Surfaced as a Red Flag in the report but does NOT auto-decline. The underwriter weighs the file's other strengths. (For industries you DO want to auto-decline, use Section 3 above.)
Comma-separated. The analyzer will flag these as MCA positions when seen on bank statements. Include known asymmetric-name pairs (e.g. "Olympus Lending / Olympus Business").
Anything written here is appended verbatim to the underwriting prompt. Use for nuances the questionnaire doesn't capture.

New deal

Drop the signed application + bank statements. The app identifies which is which and produces a full underwriting report.

What did you ultimately decide?

Record the outcome here. The next deal you process will see this decision (and your recent ones) as calibration — the analyzer learns your judgment over time.
